Years 7 & 8 Core Curriculum

Years 7 and 8 students undertake the study of English, Mathematics, Science, History, Geography and Personal Development, Health & Physical Education through one of three pathways:

• Explorers - a multi-age Years 7 & 8 Enrichment and Extension class. (In popular usage this is often called a Gifted and Talented program).
• Adventurers - a multi-age Years 7 & 8 Learning Support program to assist students with additional support in the core curriculum at the commencement of secondary school.
• Core classes - separate Year 7 and Year 8 mainstream classes

All Year 7 and Explorers and Adventurers undertake the majority of their core curriculum in a Homeroom base to assist in the adjustment to the movement to a wide range of classroom environments typical of secondary schooling.
