Canberra, the National Capital of Australia, is the venue for Year 6 Camp.

The camp has a curriculum focus on Civics and Citizenship, encouraging students to honor those in authority. Included is a tour of both the Old and New Parliament Houses.

The educational Electoral Commission tour helps students in understanding the routine functioning of Australian government, including experiencing a simulated election process. There is also a tour of both chambers of federal parliament including a mock parliamentary sitting highlighting the passing of a bill and giving insight into the role of government and opposition.

Students also visit the Australian War Memeorial in association with a unit of work on Australians at War and the ANZAC experience.

A visit to the Australian Insitute of Sport allows students an insight into training for elite athletes as well as a chance to take part in some sports actvities.

A visit to Questacon provides new form of science learning for many students. There is also a night tour of the Telstra Tower.
