The move from Primary School to High School is an important milestone in a student’s educational journey. We know that this time of transition comes with a mix of emotions for both students and parents, from aspects of anxiety through to great excitement. Our desire is to make this transition as smooth as possible. To support this Wycliffe runs an Orientation Program for students entering Year 7. Due to government restrictions to manage COVID, this year our Orientation Program has been delayed until this term.
We are pleased to now be able to run a two day Orientation Program for students entering Year 7 in 2021. The days will give students a taste of High School at Wycliffe, give them the chance to become more familiar with the Senior School learning spaces and meet some of our Senior School staff as well as experience some of the key learning areas covered in the Year 7 curriculum.
Students should come to the School Office at 8.45am and bring with them:
Students are invited to wear appropriate mufti clothing for the day. Families are asked to keep in mind that students will be spending time in a number of classrooms as well as participating in sport activities during the days and clothing should be suitable for these activities. All students are expected to wear closed in shoes (with a tongue) as this is a safety requirement in the learning spaces they will be using.
All students must have registered to attend the program.
COVID requirements this year mean that for students to attend the Orientation Program, the school needs to have received an enrolment form for them. If you have a student enrolled for Year 7 in 2021 at Wycliffe, please complete the form in the button below to register them for the days.
If you are interested in the Orientation Program and we have not yet received an enrolment form for your child, please call the school and speak with our Enrolment Officer to find out more.
Health and Medical Information
Please note, if your child has a condition which involves a medical action plan we will need a copy of the plan emailed to email@example.com before the day or left with the School Office on the morning of Orientation Day.
If your child will need medication throughout the day, this must be taken to the school office on the morning of Orientation Day. Parents may be required to complete a form to give us authority to administer the medication. If medication to be given is prescribed medication, please contact the school office to see what is required.
