Year 7 Orientation Day

8.25am – 2.50pm

The move from Primary School to High School is an important milestone in a student’s educational journey. We know that this time of transition comes with a mix of emotions for both students and parents so it is our desire to make this transition as smooth as possible. To support this Wycliffe runs an Orientation Program for students entering Year 7.

The day will give students a taste of High School at Wycliffe. It will give them the chance to become more familiar with the Senior School learning spaces, meet some of our Senior School staff and experience some of the key learning areas covered in the Year 7 curriculum.

Students should arrive at the School Office at 8.25am and bring with them:
• a notebook and pencil case,
• recess
• a drink bottle
• a hat
A sausage sizzle lunch will be provided. (We will automatically cater for Gluten Free students. If you have any other special dietary needs please let us know on (02) 4753 6422.

Students are invited to wear appropriate mufti clothing for the day. Families are asked to keep in mind that students will be spending time in a number of classrooms as well as participating in sport activities and clothing should be suitable for these activities. All students are expected to wear closed in shoes (with a tongue) as this is a safety requirement in the learning areas they will be using.

Health and Medical Information
Please note: If your child has a condition which involves a medical action plan we will need a copy of the plan emailed to enrol@wycliffe.nsw.edu.au before the day or given to the School Office on the morning of Orientation Day.
If your child will need medication throughout the day, this must be taken to the school office on the morning of Orientation Day. Parents will be required to complete a form to give authority to administer the medication. If medication to be given is prescribed medication, please contact the school office prior to the day to establish requirements.

Registration
All students must have registered to attend the program. Current Year 6 students at Wycliffe will be automatically registered for the day. Please click on link below to complete your registration.
