What is Christian education?

Wycliffe seeks to faithfully
unfold a Christian education.

But what does this mean in practice?

We believe that whether it’s learning how to write an essay, to triple jump, to spell “pneumonia”, or to factorise a polynomial, all knowing has its ultimate meaning and purpose when framed by God’s big picture story anchored in Jesus. This story gives the starting point for learning and the end application for all knowing—to bring God glory and to serve others.

Christian education invites young people to see and understand the world through the perspective of God’s truth. The Bible becomes the lens through which students view what they are learning.

When Jesus said “Follow me”, he was expecting people to dedicate their whole lives to serving God. The Christian school aims to teach this way of life every day, in the setting of a unified community of love and learning involving parents, children and teachers.

Wycliffe offers an education that deliberately seeks to have the full revelation of the Bible provide the grounding assumptions, tendencies, and understandings behind all that is done, thought, and felt — a Christian education.
