Service Learning

Showing love through service

Caring for our wider community

Jesus modeled service to the community in his time on earth and encouraged his disciples to care for others. We desire that our students model that same servant-hearted care for people in this world, local or international. To that end, we have integrated opportunities for service into both our curriculum and our extra-curricular offerings.

Navigate

Our Year 9 and 10 students participate in the Navigate program, which seeks to equip and prepare them as they approach adulthood. Alongside a comprehensive program of camps, excursions, and regular classes, students undertake service activities at Wycliffe and in the wider community. Recent service activities have included volunteering at a refugee centre, preparing food for the homeless, sorting donated clothing, helping out at a local nursing home, and assisting the Wycliffe Property Team with painting and repairs.

Mission Trips

Wycliffe has a long history of service trips. In 2025, a group of Year 10 students will be traveling to Thailand to serve at Agape Home, which is home to over 100 children living with or at risk of HIV/AIDS, and McKean Leprosy Rehabilitation Centre.
